It is the human friction that creates the sparks. - Jonah Lehrer
Welcome
I recently finished the book, "Imagine: How creativity works" by Jonah Lehrer. I start my portfolio with this particular quote because it describes my work. I work with people. Whether it is working with a colleague, a student, or a community member, my life is enriched because of the interaction. I value creativity and the creative process to not only add to my life, but also to "imagine what has never existed before" and make it come to life. In my work, you will see how creativity is the common thread that keeps me engaged and challenged, thus, propelling me to continue striving for excellence, to serve others, and to contribute to life-long learning.
I have been a member of the Pfeiffer Pfamily since March 9, 2009. I was hired for a full-time, 12-month, staff position with faculty rank and I began my time with the university as the Clinic Director of the Pfeiffer Institute for Marriage and Family Therapy and Assistant Professor in the Marriage and Family Therapy Program.
